F. Steven Hall

President
Steve has been involved in construction all of his life. With nearly 40+ years of experience, Steve has been on the cutting edge of the industry both working for and managing, growing and diversifying Modern Builders, Inc. He is committed to employing dedicated and trusted employees to ensure his customers are given the proper treatment from project conception to completion. Steve is very active in the community with involvement in Kiwanis Club and United Way. Steve resides in Mount Vernon with his wife Jan.


Jason F. Hall

Vice President
Jason has been involved in the Modern Builders all his working life. Upon college graduation in 2001 he ventured full-time into the family business.

Jason is involved with day to day operations which include oversight of safety program and equipment management. He also works closely with project and workforce scheduling as wells as customer relations including sales.

Jason graduated with a BA in Business Management 2001 from MVNU and Master of Accounting and Financial Management 2012 from Devry Keller School of Management. Being a lifelong resident of Mount Vernon he is committed to helping the community in a variety of volunteer capacities. He currently sits on the Board of Trustees for the Knox County Chamber of Commerce, YMCA of Mount Vernon and The Foundation for Knox Community Hospital. Jason resides in Mount Vernon with his wife Tessa and their three children.


Fred C. Hall

Chief Estimator/Project Manager
Fred has over 50 years in the construction business. He has been in involved with nearly every facet of the industry. He has extensive training and experience as a tradesman, estimator, and in jobsite management. Fred’s duties currently are to function as Lead Estimator and Project Manager as he handles most of contract negations with owners as well as subcontractors.

Fred still holds a General contractor license holder in state of Florida along with several other continuing educational certificates and seminars to stay on the leading edge of the industry.
He resides in Mount Vernon with his wife Sallie.

 

Teresa G. Mahoney

Office Manager
Teresa started with Modern Builders in early 2008 and has been managing MBI’s office. She has over 30 years of experience in the industry related to accounting and human resources.

Specifically deals with accounts payable/receivable, payroll and human resources along with administrative support along with many other office managing duties.

Teresa is happily married to her husband Bill and has two daughters and eight wonderful grandchildren.

Dan Dennis

Concrete Finishing Manager
Dan has worked in and around Mount Vernon all of his life. He started working for Modern Builders in 2011 bringing over 25 years of concrete experience. He brought his concrete crew to MBI in an effort to grow his division as one of the premier concrete finishing companies in Central Ohio. Dan and his crew work closely with commercial and residential customers in providing concrete needs related to machine foundations, footers, driveways, sidewalks, steps, patios, retaining walls, stamped and colored concrete. Dan has volunteer in a number of ways to local youth sports for many years.

Dan resides in Mount Vernon with his wife Lisa and has three children.
